I studied taxidermy with my Mother when I was 12 years old. We made all our own forms and learned animal structure. Then I worked with Cherokee Artist, George Cochran of Eugene, Oregon and he taught me his lampblack painting technique when I was 23. The soft black and white paintings in the book are done in Lampblack. Some sketches are pen and ink. There are a few assorted paint paintings, also. The cover is in oils.
